Change your form to fool everyone around you.

Choose a form on the transform screen. Here is what each one can do.

    Change your form to fool everyone around you. Three forms are playable now, Fox, Human, and Red Oni, with more planned for the full release. In some places, certain forms are not available.

    Speak with villagers, with spirits, and sometimes with enemies. What they say back can change depending on your form.

    Mend a ladder, gather herbs, drive off the Onipan, find the treasure in the forest. The game remembers what you have taken on, so you can wander as you go.

  • 壊して進む

    As a Red Oni, hold the special button to charge, then release to smash brittle rocks. The more forms you have, the more roads open up.

    There is rarely a single solution. Push through by force, talk your way past, or find another road entirely. Save the world your own way.

Actionsできること

What you can do changes depending on what you approach.

  • Strike forward. Attacks in mid-air deal heavy damage
  • Use the power of your current form. Some change when held
  • Choose a form
  • Look at and use what you have picked up
  • Speak with villagers, spirits, and sometimes enemies
  • Read signposts and notes
  • Open treasure chests and the like
  • Go in and out of houses and caves

Quests available in the Early Access build. The game remembers what you have taken on, so you can wander as you go.

  • Main ★★★ From Sontyo

    The drop has vanished from the sacred tree of Fox Village. The Red Oni lurking in their forest seem to be involved. Head into the forest and look for clues.

    1. Go to Red Oni Forest
    2. Defeat 3 Red Oni
    3. Obtain an Oni Horn
    4. Report to Sontyo

  • Side ★★☆ From Merchant

    A travelling merchant says a treasure chest is hidden somewhere in Red Oni Forest. Head into the forest, find the chest, and open it.

    1. Go to Red Oni Forest
    2. Open the chest in the forest

  • Side ★☆☆ From Hina

    Hina, a child of the village, has a rumour to tell about the kappa bamboo grove. Hear her out, then gather 2 branches to bring to the grove.

    1. Listen to Hina
    2. Gather 2 branches

  • Hunt ★★☆ From Shugo

    The Onipan in the forest are multiplying and getting close to the village. Defeat 5 Onipan in Red Oni Forest.

    The village ladder is broken. Gather 3 branches to repair it.

    2. Deliver them to Shugo

  • Gather ★☆☆ From Merchant

    Once the ladder is fixed, the merchant up top turns out to be too hungry to move. Bring him a persimmon.

    There are not enough herbs to treat the injured. Gather 3 oni herbs that grow in Red Oni Forest.

Items拾えるもの

Found by the roadside and in treasure chests. Some are useful, others are meant to be delivered.

  • Restores 10 HP A medicinal herb with a peculiar smell. Heals wounds. Ground into a paste for cuts, or brewed as tea.
  • Restores 20 HP A sweet fruit that lifts the spirits. Eaten peeled and fresh, or dried to keep.
  • Throw it and deer come running A plain-tasting cracker meant for deer. Throw one and any deer that catches the scent will come running.
  • A branch a Red Oni was carrying. Sturdy and solid.
  • A horn taken from an oni.
  • It is spiky.
  • Not until you are of age.
  • You must not read other people's letters.

Shop店

Buy from and sell to the travelling merchant. The currency is the "mon".

  • "Thank you kindly!"
